These Terms apply when you visit monkandseek.com, join a waitlist or email list, or buy any ebook or other digital product from us (each a "Product").

Monk & Seek is a brand of Nikhil Ventures, a sole proprietorship owned by Nikhil Ramachandran, Flat A108, Patel's Green Front, Yapral, Secunderabad, Telangana 500087, India ("we", "us", "our").

By joining a list or buying a Product, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Please read them before you buy. If you do not agree, please do not buy from us.

1. Who can buy

You must be 18 or older to join our lists or buy a Product. By buying, you confirm that you are 18 or older and able to enter into a binding contract where you live.

2. What our Products are, and what they are not

Most of our Products are self-help and educational guides. Some deal with personal topics such as habits, discipline, relationships, sexuality and wellbeing. They contain general information, and some include practical exercises.

Our Products are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or therapeutic advice. They do not replace a doctor, therapist, counsellor or other professional, and they are not an emergency service. If you have a health concern, please speak to a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or in danger, contact your local emergency services straight away. Results differ from person to person, and we do not promise any particular result.

3. Your contract with us

When you buy a Product, you enter into a contract with Nikhil Ramachandran, trading as Nikhil Ventures. The contract is formed when our payment provider confirms your payment. We will email you a receipt.

4. Prices, payment and taxes

  • The price of each Product is shown on the website at the time you buy. Prices are in Indian rupees (₹) unless shown otherwise, and do not include GST or other applicable taxes. These are added at checkout, and the total you will pay is shown before you pay.
  • Payments are processed by our payment provider, currently Razorpay, whose own terms also apply to your payment. We never receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank login details.
  • If you pay with a card issued outside India, your bank may convert the amount into your currency and may charge conversion or international transaction fees. These charges are set by your bank, not by us.
  • We may change prices at any time. A change does not affect a purchase you have already made.
  • If a price on the website is clearly wrong because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

5. Waitlists, launch prices and offers

We may offer waitlists, launch prices, discounts or bundles. The price, how to claim it and how long it lasts are shown on the website or in the email that offers it. An offer applies only for the period stated, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so. Joining a waitlist is free and does not oblige you to buy anything.

6. Delivery

Our Products are digital files, usually in PDF format. The format of each Product is shown on its page. Nothing is shipped.

  • As soon as your payment is confirmed, a download button appears on screen, and we email you the same download link.
  • Unless the Product page says otherwise, your download link works for 30 days and for up to 5 downloads. Please save the file to your device.
  • We may stamp each copy with the buyer's email address to discourage sharing.
  • Once you have downloaded a Product, keeping your copy safe is your responsibility. If you lose it, or your link expires, email us from the address you used to buy, and we will send you a new link.
  • If you do not receive the download button or the email within 24 hours of paying, contact us and we will send the Product or refund you.
  • We may improve or correct a Product. If we do, we may send buyers the updated version.

You need your own device, internet connection and suitable software (such as a PDF reader) to use our Products.

7. Refunds and cancellations

Because our Products are digital and can be downloaded immediately, all sales are final once a Product has been delivered, and orders cannot be cancelled after payment, except as set out below.

We will give you a full refund if:

  • you were charged but did not receive the Product, and we cannot deliver it within 48 hours of you contacting us;
  • the file is damaged or will not open, and we cannot send you a working copy within 48 hours of you contacting us; or
  • you were charged more than once for the same order.

To ask for a refund, email us within 7 days of your purchase, or as soon as you notice a duplicate charge, with your order ID or the email address you used to pay. We will reply within 48 hours. Approved refunds are sent to your original payment method within 5 to 7 working days. Refunds are for the amount you actually paid.

We may refuse a refund if you have already opened a dispute or chargeback with your bank for the same payment, or if we find evidence of fraud or abuse.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom: you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase. When you buy a Product, you are asked to agree that the download starts straight away and to confirm that you understand you lose this right once the download starts. Your receipt confirms this.

These terms do not affect any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

8. Your licence to use our Products

When you buy a Product, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download it and use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may keep copies on your own devices. You are buying a licence to use the Product, not ownership of its copyright.

You may not:

  • share, forward, upload, sell, rent or give away a Product or any part of it;
  • post it online or on file-sharing sites, in group chats or on social media;
  • remove or hide the email address on its pages, or any copyright notice;
  • copy it into AI tools or use it to train AI models; or
  • use it for any commercial purpose.

You may quote short passages if you credit Monk & Seek.

If you break these rules, or if a purchase is fraudulent, your licence ends and we may disable your download link without a refund.

9. Our intellectual property

Our Products and the website, including their text and design, belong to Nikhil Ramachandran (trading as Nikhil Ventures) and are protected by copyright law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of them to you. You may not use the Monk & Seek name or logo without our permission.

If you send us feedback or a review, we may use it to improve our Products. We will only publish your words as a testimonial with your permission.

10. Using the website

You agree not to misuse the website, for example by trying to hack, overload or copy it, by scraping its content, or by using it for anything unlawful. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the website, or stop selling any Product, at any time. We try to keep the website available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors.

The website may link to other sites, such as Instagram. We are not responsible for those sites, and their own terms apply.

11. Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, our Products and the website are provided "as is".

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any decision you make based on our Products or the website. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Product the claim relates to. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

If you share or misuse a Product in breach of these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs that result from it.

14. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as internet or payment system outages.

15. Where our Products are available

Our Products can be bought in most countries, as long as your payment method is accepted by our payment provider. We may limit sales in some countries. You are responsible for complying with the laws of the place where you live.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page. The Terms in force when you bought a Product apply to that purchase.

17. Communications

You agree that we can send you emails needed for your purchase, such as receipts and download links. We will only send you marketing emails if you have joined one of our lists or agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

18. General

  • These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about our Products.
  • If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours if the business is taken over by someone else.
  • These Terms are written in English.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana. This does not take away any right you have to approach a consumer commission in India, or any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.
